Welcome To Mold Inspection Network

Mold Inspection Network aims to provide the best mold testing services available for both commercial and residential mold testing. We believe in giving our clients peace of mind by making sure they have all the data and information needed to know and understand the problems they face, how it affects them, and what steps are necessary to solve the problem.

Why test for mold?

Mold can cause adverse health effects on certain individuals. This can include but is not limited to; allergies, headaches, nosebleeds, skin and eye irritations, Asthma, and in some cases even infections. It’s possible to have an underlying mold condition in your home without knowing about it. Air testing can detect most of these hidden problems, while our overall visual inspection will also shed some light on the overall health of your home. This inspection process is even more important if you have children or the elderly living in your home. These individuals can have weakened immune systems causing them to have significantly worse reactions to mold exposure.

Who needs mold testing?

If you have noticed odd smells in your home or have a recurring medical condition related to mold exposure, it would be a good idea to have your home screened for mold. Be sure to test before you buy or move in to a different home. This will allow you to go one extra step to ensure your investment is right for you. Always make sure to test after any incidence where water damage occurred ie; busted pipes, overflow from tubs and toilets, or roof leaks as examples. Mold needs water and a food source to grow. The water from a leak can allow mold to imbed itself into the building materials of your home. Anyone with a weak or compromised immune system (children, elderly, or immune disorder) should consider periodic inspections to prevent exposure.

What you can expect from our tests?

We conduct air and surface sampling along with a thorough visual examination.

Air testing will give you a measurable result. Samples will be taken inside your home or business and compared to an outside control sample. Air tests should be taken in areas of concern and also areas that you spend the most of amount of your time. The results will tell you the amount of mold spores per square meter of air. Once we have a few inside tests we can measure them against the outside test to see if there are any spikes in the data. The tests are taken using calibrated pumps that collect air from your home into small air canisters or cassettes. These samples are sent to the lab where they physically mount the samples onto slides and count the mold spores under the microscope.

Unlike Air samples, surface samples will not produce measurable results. Surface samples will only tell us if the sample is mold or not and what type. These tests are good for rapidly identifying unknown stains or discolored surfaces. The lab will provide some quantification but there will be no control sample to compare it to.

The visual inspection will allow us to look over all of the accessible areas in your home to ensure that the air and surface samples don’t miss a problem. If an area is too wet or damp it is possible for mold to not show up on air tests. This is because the spores will be too dense to travel in the air. During this time we will check all areas where water damage or excessive moisture could occur such as around the water heater, under sinks, attics, and crawlspaces. We will also check any area where you think a problem may lie.

When you will receive the results?

Results are produced by a laboratory and depending on work load we can have results as soon as the next business day. We will contact you to discuss your report within 24 hours of you receiving the results.

Why are we the best?

Our company has reviewed over 1,000 mold reports with over 7 years of experience in this industry. We don’t have a conflict of interest because we only offer testing and inspection services. Some companies do the testing and the remediation. This creates an opportunity for deception. Companies that do testing and remediation could possibly exadurate results in order to get remediation work. You can avoid this situation by working with companies that only provide one of these services. When we test and inspect we will go over the report with you to answer any questions you have. Also, if there is a problem we will give you a plan to address the problem. We can then assist you in choosing a mold remediation company that shares our same philosophies.

Free Consultation

We offer a free home mold report review for all residents of Greenville SC and Spartanburg SC and the surrounding areas. During this consultation we can explain what molds were found and how they interact with your health. We will also discuss any problems found during the visual inspection as well as briefly go over those issues and offer a plan to solve the problems.
